This is the coolest thing I've ever seen done with lpd. It reminds me of those restaurant jukeboxes that had selection boxes at every booth. Except instead of choosing from the records on the main jukebox, you can play your own. With a little CGI work, you could probably make the server's selections available for queueing too, as well as show the current queue, and let superusers delete "jobs" and adjust the volume. Could be useful in an office environment, or at a party, maybe even a nightclub... in those cases, it might be useful to have the lpd filter script look at the ID3 tags to restrict artists, titles, or genres, either for content or to stop too-frequent repeats. (Sure, it's easy to get around, think of it as a polite velvet rope across a doorway.)
