Enterprise restored

The Air & Space Museum has a weblog detailing its work, including the multiple restorations of the original series Enterprise shooting model. It looks like they were fortunate the model survived five years in storage after the series was cancelled: http://blog.nasm.si.edu/2009/06/04/starship_restoration/. Down in the comments section, there's a link to a gallery of high-res restoration photos.
