People need to get their shit together

Today, I downloaded an application from a vendor which released its first Macintosh product. It came packaged in a .dmg disk image, which their web server was properly configured to idenfity as a binary data file--Firefox didn't ask me what to open it with, or try to display it in the browser window, it just saved it to my warez folder. On opening, the only contents was a single application bundle--and a Universal Binary at that--which needed to be dragged to /Applications/. No silly installer. Then you just run it.

It amazes me how many software companies can't get any of these elements correct. Why do I bring this example up today? Because the company releasing the software is Southwest Airlines. Christ, if an AIRLINE can hire people to G3T IT R1TE, no software company has any excuse.
