Useful things to know about new Suns

Boot arguments to boot to single-user mode: b -s
Killing automatic X Windows startup: /usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -d
Killing automatic sendmail startup: svcadm disable sendmail
Shut down gracefully, but RIGHT FUCKING NOW: shutdown -y -g0 -i0 BURNINATION!
Boot arguments to tell box to reconfigure because you moved the hard disk over from a different platform: b -r (alternative to touch /reconfigure from the shell. And it might not work. It didn't for me.)

(I'm not a huge fan of sync; sync; halt. I want the shutdown logging, just in case it's useful.)
