I got a bong letter from the school district today. I had applied for a systems administrator's gig at the district office. Their notice did explicitly ask for a CNA or MCP. I took that with a grain of salt, considering that many people who would apply for such a job may not have a 4-year degree (or at least not a 4-year degree in a related technical field.)

The district's staffing staff disagrees:

I like how "DID NOT MEET THE MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS" is in all-caps. As if I'm so stupid I wouldn't understand it in proper lower-case.

I argue that a BSEE, particularly with my coursework (which I listed,) trumps a CNA or MCP. I am qualified to design such systems, let alone run particular implementations of them. Clearly, they feel differently.
