More neat software

MacTracker is a small database of every piece of Macintosh and related hardware Apple has ever sold, plus the Newtons and the Umax, Power Computing, and Motorola clones. It includes all the relevant technical information, development codenames, ship and retirement dates, but most coolly, the startup and death chimes for most of the systems.

I was led to this by the Music Thing weblog talking about the Mac startup sound. There's also a bit in there on the genesis of the THX sound
