Regarding the LJ bandits

I am not, nor will I ever be, a user of any service that defeats other journal's privacy filters. For details, visit this journal entry in regards to
f i n i t . o
 r e d t o c m

According to ginmar, they're searching for occurrences of their name and showing up to talk shit, hence the funky layout of their domain name. Nowhere on their site, or in their FAQ, do they say why a public archive of journal postings is useful or neccessary. They compare their "service" to programs that download journal entries, or simple save-page or printing functions inside the browsers. They ignore the distinction that those produce offline copies that aren't visible to J. Random Net User. It appears that the proprieters are (despite their denials) the same people involved in

a site whose denizens appear to take great, sick, pleasure in the angst and troubles of other people.
