-- Stella (Linda Hunt), Silverado
It's what I've got on while I work. I've gotten a lot of TV off the G4's drives the last two days, 24 hours' worth. The gating issue was plodding through menu creation for all those DVDs. There's an odd thing about spumux that it only works on a PNG created by Photoshop Elements 2.0 if it has been saved only once. If you edit and re-save, spumux chokes. I have a set of three template files, with their lock bits set, that I start from for each menu. The art is drawn and there is placeholder text, and while they are saved files, starting from the locked copies seems to work.
I should really get off my ass and write something to generate these menu files automatically, so I can just feed titles into a command line binary. Adobe deliberately cripples PSE so it cannot be automated (even using Apple's UI extensions for AppleScript,) making this a tedious process I dread.
I am starting to do work work to get this done... the move from the TiVo to mythTV broke my auto-chaptering script. tystudio let you save your edit list, which my DVD building script would read and set chapter stops on all the edits. I'd still have to manually locate the opening-credits stop, but it saved a lot of work. I found the spot in nuvexport where I could have it spit its list into a file, and now I'm hacking my script to use it. (Six hours of West Wing took forever.)
Silverado is done, I'll keep going with Scott Glenn here and toss in Red October...
