Enterprise Bridge

The anvils keep falling

Even President-Elect Obama is now calling for Blagojevich to resign, and favors a special election to fill his Senate seat. Lt. Governor Pat Quinn (who called for resignation yesterday) calls an impeachment by the state legislature "unhealthy".

[Edit 10:30am] Senate Majority Leader Harry Read indicates the Senate won't seat a Blagojevich nominee. (The Constitution establishes each house of Congress as the final arbiter of its own membership. And yes, it has happened that a house refused to seat someone.)

Also, Patti Blagojevich has not been charged, though she clearly knows what her husband was up to, and stood to benefit from his schemes, as he demanded seats on corporate boards of directors for her. I don't have a problem with that. She'll lose enough when her husband goes to jail.

...of retarded secondary school computer teachers.

Key quotes from some dipshit in Texas:
"No software is free and spreading that misconception is harmful."
"I along with many others tried Linux during college and I assure you, the claims you make are grossly over-stated and hinge on falsehoods."
"I admire your attempts in getting computers in the hands of disadvantaged people but putting linux on these machines is holding our kids back."

Holding. Our. Kids. Back.
