While there's a lot of people out there posting links just to post links, or just to generate traffic for some kind of "point-whoring" contest, or just to draw attention to themselves (essentially "read my blog, I'll point you at k00l sh1zn1t",) you might want to find a better target/example to base a rant off of, 'cause I ain't in that category.

I don't particularly care who reads this, beyond the small group of friends I'd make such conversation with, as often idle as it is meaningful. If someone else does read it, great. If they find something useful or insightful, even better. If not, *twirls finger*. Otherwise, it's something of a record for myself.

There ain't enough happening in my life--even on a busy day--to merit writing about at length. Sure, I have plenty of opinions on broader topics, but rarely do I care to spend that much energy to express it verbally for others. If I did more often, I'd probably look for a better forum, like the printed press or online equivalent.

If you want your journal to be purely a hotbed of insightful philosophical commentary, that's fine. I care as much to focus there as I do to play the twerpy "blogger" games. Have fun. Bite me. :-)

I was thinking most forcefully of the idea, "Holy poop my ass is numb someone please come over and beat me until I get off the computer and interact with some real people!"

So my particular rant at you is I'd be happier for you if you weren't wasting everyone's time filling your blog with little one-liner links to content that I really don't give a shit about, because all I really care about in monitoring your blog, is what little I might occasionally learn about you and yourn life, buddy-boy.

You aren't warezing entertaining memes - I read jwz for that - so what is the point to your blog? To waste your own time and take a driplet of mine with you? Ewww, how boorish! I want some hot linky content sausage!

The only time wasted is your own if you choose to read it. Scroll past it in someone's friends view, or skip it entirely if it bothers you that much. I don't care either way.

You and I, certainly--you'll note I tend not to repost the same links as jwz, unless I have further commentary on it and include the link for context.
