It's peanut butter jelly time!

My parents moved from one district run by douchebags to another district run by douchebags.

11 senior boys at Zion-Benton High School have been suspended under the same policy that applies to fist fights. Why? One of them dressed as a gorilla, and chased the other 10, dressed as bananas, through the school. Funny and non-destructive. But still Evil And Must Be Punished!

Bwahahahahaha! That stunt sounds funny. I think the administrators are definitely too heavy-handed with that one. They need to get a sense of humor.

Do you mind if I link to your post?

*reads the story you linked too*

Wow...that gave students a five day suspension for fighting, but these kids got seven days (!) for a prank? The administrators really are major douchebags.

School is all about wiping out independent thought, I guess.

Has been for years, even when I was that age. It's all about order and image.

But is there a realistic alternative means for obtaining the information and skills that you get from school? Not to mention the signaling value (later on, of course).
