Inferences you may not draw
From a Best-of-Cragslist post titled TAKE MY SON TO HIS PROM:
He is not a geek as he played on 2 varsity high school sport teams for the past 3 years.

You may not include track or cross-country for the purposes of this argument. Both include plenty of geeks. Always have, always will. You get to wear a uniform and compete while only doing one thing. You don't have to be coordinated enough to throw, catch, hit, jump, or block at the same time you run.

Not that this argument carries as much weight as it used to, anyways. I've run into quite a few very geeky boys playing varsity football, basketball, and baseball in the last ten years. Never mind that Randy Fucking Johnson is not the only EverCrack fiend who draws a major-league sports paycheck.

Yup. I know someone who has played with him. (Naturally, she wouldn't give his ID, and I wouldn't ask anyways.)

It makes sense, given the mental exercise that pitching is.
